Interior atelier · Est. in imagination

Rooms that hold their breath.

Vellumere shapes quiet, tactile homes: lime-washed walls, honest timber, light that moves slowly across stone. We design fewer rooms, so each one is finished properly.

01

A studio for people who would rather live in a room than look at it.

Light first

Every plan begins with a sun study. Furniture follows the light, never the other way round.

Fewer, better

We specify materials that age well and pieces that can be repaired, so the room improves with use.

Made by hand

Joinery is drawn in-house and built by small workshops. Details are resolved at full scale.

Room studies

Dining room with a long timber table and an arched niche in late sun

The Long Table

Dark oak, lime plaster, an arched niche for one vessel.

A rounded bouclé armchair beside sheer curtains

Reading Corner

Bouclé, sheer linen, a chair shaped like an embrace.

A clay vessel draped in heavy linen on a dark table

Still Life

Hand-thrown clay under washed linen.

Close detail of a carved oak arm meeting woven upholstery

The Joint

Carved oak and woven upholstery, resolved at full scale.

Garden Room

Terracotta floor, rattan, a long built-in daybed.

Generated imagery for a concept brand. No real projects are shown.

03

Choose a palette, watch the room change.

Our material boards are built around four families. Pick one to preview its mood.

Linen & oak: soft, bright, quietly warm.

04

Four slow steps

  1. I

    Listening

A long visit. How you wake, cook, read and host.

  2. II

    Drawing

Plans, elevations and a physical sample box.

  3. III

    Making

Workshops, site visits, every junction checked.

  4. IV

    Settling

We style, then return after a season to adjust.

“A room is finished when nothing asks for your attention.”

Begin a room

Tell us about the space. This is a concept site, so the form does not send anything.
